About us:
Meet our team
David Dewhirst, CEO & Co-Founder
David has been committing art to paper since his early childhood. However, since almost every child does this, it is nothing extraordinary. What is more extraordinary is his continuous pursuit of creativity throughout his life. From the writing program at SUNY Potsdam to a semi-professional career in 3D computer graphics to a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Syracuse University, David has explored just about every medium one could imagine. David brings all of these skills — writing, visual arts and programming — to ThreeTwelve Creative after many successful years as a Software Engineer at MediaBrains/AgingCare.com. With all of these skills, he is sure to please. Or at least entertain.
Natalie Dewhirst, COO & Co-Founder
Natalie never considered herself an artist, but quite by accident she discovered she is. She brings a level of passion and enthusiasm and commitment to her work that typifies the artist of any era working in any medium. (It also typifies professional athletes, which is one reason why she considers design to be a full-contact sport.) She has been designing and building websites professionally for many years for a wide range of clientele, from Chambers of Commerce to cloth-diapering hippie mamas to real estate agents. Her expertise also extends into the world of marketing, with an intuitive sense (and a solid foundation to back it up) of what works in internet marketing. As an added bonus, Natalie uses her expertise in internet marketing (including SEO – a.k.a. search engine optimization, online advertising – like Pay-per-click and email marketing, and social media strategy) to make the websites ThreeTwelve builds deliver great results for clients.
Jesse Briggs, Lead Application Developer & Software Sahib
Jesse has been fascinated by web applications since high-school, when he began building complex sites both for fun and to compete with Robert, whom he had yet to meet. In web-years he's an old pro, but that hasn't kept him from keeping up with the bleeding edge and bringing to the table proficiency in a multitude of languages, frameworks and systems, including PHP/MySQL, Python/Django, Ruby/Rails, Javascript/jQuery, and Linux.
He's typically building functionality into your custom web applications -- but when he's not doing that Jesse is an amateur photographer, an ex-professional poker player, a high-level pool player, and partner in a pool hall in Hot Springs, AR. Phew!
And contrary to popular belief, just because he lost a bet and has to wash Robert's car for a month doesn't make him our favorite. They're all special. Just in... ermmm... different ways.
Amber Jones, Lead Glassblower & Graphic Designer
Amber is a Texan at heart -- but we don't hold that against her! Following her stint as an astronaut on the International Space Station (incorrectly identified elsewhere as service in the French Foreign Legion) she received a Bachelor of the Arts in Communication Design from Texas State University - San Marcos. In one form or another she has always worked in various aspects of the art world; from teaching art lessons to elementary school children to creating the perfect cappuccino to working as a graphic designer for a glassblowing studio and now as a glassblower at a graphic design studio. Aside from the occasional freelance work, in her spare time she likes to be outdoors, go to concerts, and snap the occasional artsy photo. Although as our newest member she has yet to realize it's okay to smack Robert and Jesse down, she is very excited to be with ThreeTwelve Creative and is really flourishing and finding her wings (bunny feet?) as a designer.
